My only coment is that he looks a little "sassy" : ) Other than that awesome job man, keep it up. Just enough background for context, not overly worked, nice lighting

Nice Danny! Beautiful colors as usual. I gonna go against Scott here...:) I think you could have worked out some of the spots on the character a little more. I really like the painterly approach but it's easier for me to tell what is going on in the background than it is with the character standing in front of us. Did you use ref. for this?

Hahaha thanks guys. Yeah, I definitely agree Keith, there are some ambiguities that need clearing up. Anything specific that bugs you on the character?

I found a ref for the helmet and took some quick photos outside for the lighting.

Nothing bugs me he looks really good. It's hard to tell what is going on below his torso (under his belt). Maybe the patch of brown grass below his feet is throwing me off..i dont know. But I'm just being picky :)

Very impressive, sir. Awesome lighting, nice palette, and well done with the reflections on the armor. As you know I love the painterly style, and you've said a lot with few strokes, so you are winning points in my book.

Even though it is helpful in establishing a focal point at the top, I think the bottom half of the canvas is a lacking a bit too much in detail. It feels like it extends a bit farther down than I'd like.

It was hard finding something to criticize on this one. Again, impressive.

Thanks Robby :) Appreciate the crits, it does feel unresolved at the bottom.

Good one, I like the distinction in the tone between foreground and background. And of course the colors make me itch with the thought of chiggers.

Hahaha, thanks Dave. I don't think they bugspray back then...
