Hey man, like the figure and the perspective on the gun is well executed.
Composition to me is about keeping the viewer's attention. When all the action is happening off-screen (figure is looking and shooting at something you can't see) it removes our attention from the figure and weakens the picture at hand.
going to add on to what danny said... i think either you should've pushed the astronaut back a bit, and whatever he was shooting at in the extreme foreground, OR zoom in on the figure a bit.
just noticed, i think his right arm is a bit too stiff/rigid. to me, if he's extending his left arm, firing his weapon at whatever, his right arm would be pushed back, and a bit more relaxed.

Really like the material and design of the spacesuit. He looks pinched in the crotch area, I think he is firing on his tailor.

YOur character design is good. I like the way you handled the suit and especialloy the helmet.
Play around a bit more with the lighting.
I agree about either zooming in our out to improve your composition.
