Your giant looks pretty cool man! Think about the values of foreground, midground, and background elements. Foreground objects are usually darker and become lighter as they go back in space. I think you've done that here only the foreground objects need to be darker than the darkest spots on your giant since he is in the middle ground. Hope that makes sense. Some mountains or something with volume in the far background would probably look interesting.
Hey, hope you don't mind the quick paint over, here is a crop that might increase the scale and add a little drama to it... also I adusted the values per Keiths crit, darker in the foreground and less saturated and lighter as it recedes . If the creature is massive then the atmoshpere will interact with it in a big and visible way. SMc
