I like the story and the figures feel well integrated.
Did a quick paintover to show how you could push the size difference between the figures to make the space a bit less flat. Wasn't sure which one you intended to be foreground so I tried both ways, lol.

Glad you found it helpful - wasn't sure if it was unsolicited advice, but i kind of just started doing it without thinking.
Anyway, it's a good piece - the changes in the PO are really minor :)
