Ahoy,
I figured since this blog is titled "Gemini Speedpaint", I would post some of my most recent ones, minus a couple that were just horrible. PLEASE give as much critique as you like, I would love some ideas on how to improve, especially with the brushwork.

Aside from the first image being from imagination, these are all done using reference taking between 30 minutes and an hour.

OK. Here are my thoughts on giant elementals, wasn't too fired up about any of them, but wanted to post something less finished than not post at all.

I really wanted to do an actual compostion for this theme instead of just a character, but I failed miserably... so here's a character.

In honor of college football and all things athletic, lets do something fun. a concept"y" version of our favorite (or not so favorite, but at the very least, our local) mascot. It could be an actual "real life" longhorn or any version or style you would like to apply, ie. warhammer, WOW, steampunk, insert your favorite here ____________. Just make it rock.

Due in TWO weeks, to allow for busy schedules, and last minute finishes.

I have been remiss in posting lately but should be able to start up again on Wednesday, I plan to back post all that I have missed.

Hmm, sorry guys, it's be a crazy couple of weeks, so I wasn't able to do too much with this. But, here ya go.
Anyway, at one point I accidentally turned off the layer with the lines, and found it left an interesting, and kind of cute cut-out like image. So I included it.

So, I'm posting this against my better judgement. Definite struggle with this one; repainted, started over several times. Ended up with... this.

This thing beat my ass just like I thought it would. I would have liked to add color but didn't have much time to work on it this week. I will start with color for the next one. I really need to experiment/study with some different brushes and techniques for environments.

Ha ha, I don't have a kitty. But then, I don't have super strength either.
But if I did...

Anyway, I didn't really do myself AS a super hero, but rather with a super power. It's probably good that I don't have any powers though, since I'd only use it for stupid, mundane shit.

side note: The idea was to be looking under the couch for the cat, but if it looks like I'm about to crush it instead, that's cool too.
