That moment when I figured out the light source was completely backwards on the monolith really sucked.
But I learned a lot about clouds, and how not to angle them all similarly.

And yes, it is because we were talking about 2001 yesterday.

.... got a design I liked... stopped there though... no point in going further since the things I wanted to do with it are out of my skill level at the moment... and anything less would come off as a disappointment to myself since I have an image in my head of what I want to do.

I've found I work better at higher DPI. Helps to hide my inexperienced digital brush strokes.

Im trying to do screenshots from the movie Hitman. I'll probably do 10 in all so far I'm halfway there. I will post them all together when I'm finished. The top one took a little over an hour and the bottom about 45 min.

I didn't spend much time on this... The videogames got the best of me this week. I struggled with the lighting which is why the character is rather plain. I just didn't have enough time to do both. I still think its too dark overall.

I figured since this blog is titled "Gemini Speedpaint", I would post some of my most recent ones, minus a couple that were just horrible. PLEASE give as much critique as you like, I would love some ideas on how to improve, especially with the brushwork.

Aside from the first image being from imagination, these are all done using reference taking between 30 minutes and an hour.
