Dude, you handle clothing and costumes so well! Great job. I think a good pose is just as important. I like the roman numeral halo, though it's counting backwards. Not sure what he is pointing at, maybe if he was just holding on to the strap...
oops! I forgot to flip the image back. Ya I struggled with the getting a good read on the pipe. It was lighter at first but it was causing some confusing with the patterns on his far shoulder. I was hoping the design on the pipe would help it stand out more..guess not
I really wanted to do an actual compostion for this theme instead of just a character, but I failed miserably... so here's a character.

My bad, I see he has a pipe, you might want to make that more obvious.
