I figured since this blog is titled "Gemini Speedpaint", I would post some of my most recent ones, minus a couple that were just horrible. PLEASE give as much critique as you like, I would love some ideas on how to improve, especially with the brushwork.

Aside from the first image being from imagination, these are all done using reference taking between 30 minutes and an hour.

You're doing the right thing. Keep them going. I like your environments especially.

Good studies robby! Carlos is right, best way to improve is to keep going.

It's difficult to give general critique since everybody learns differently and there are so few rules. You can generally try to simplify, say more with less and think longer before each stroke. Be honest with yourself and try to see what your painting lacks that the reference has, which is the whole point of doing studies imo.

Mostly just keep having fun, keep learning, and keep experimenting.

How contrived does that sound?? Hope that helps...
